Fraternity and Sorority Clothing
Greek clothing comes essentially the same for both men and women and was never shaped or tailored fit to the particular person’s body, and it consists of four types such as chiton, Doric and lonic draperies, the himation and the chlamys. The clothing is made out of three materials, wool, linen and drapery. Greek clothing is based on bright hued colors like yellow, indigo, green, violet, dark red, dark purple and mostly colors of or from the earth. The woolen material used in the Greek clothing was mostly woven from very coarse to very soft. Linen clothes are used from fine material to soft. Drapery used was not as crisp as Egyptian folds.
Fraternity is generally termed as a group of or society of people, who swear allegiance to each other and set a code of principles which will create a brotherhood amongst them. Member so such formed fraternities, feel proud to show the colors of that particular group and to show out the fraternity letters on licensed Greek clothing, which is called as fraternity clothing.
More like fraternity groups, Sororities are a group of college students particularly female college students, who take an oath to be always sisters and will follow the principles and ethics set forth by the sisterhood group. These sorority groups are mainly formed as a community service group to help others, and such groups wear a series of clothing termed as sorority clothing.
